This past year hasn’t been as prosperous as I had wanted, but it still was good. Very good in this economic environment – in fact. Many of our neighbors were not as fortunate. Unfortunately there are those in the nations capitol (our neighbors) with great needs. The soup lines are growing. Have you by chance passed Franklin Park (between 13th and 14th Streets at K NW) at dinner time. If you have you saw literally hundreds of mostly men and some women standing in line for a warm meal. I was moved. Being about these street for years, I’ve seen these lines before, but never a crowd. Ending hunger in our town is within or power. To This end DC’s Condo Guy is donating 2.5% of all real estate transactions, but I cant do it along please joins the drive to end hunger in DC by donating to our Capital Area Food Bank (www.capitalareafoodbank.org) .
